The pull-up is the king of upper body exercises. If you can't drill into your walls, a freestanding 'Power Tower' is the answer.
Stability is Key
A cheap lightweight tower will wobble when you move. Look for a wide base and a weight rating of 150kg+. If it rocks, you won't trust it.
Ceiling Height Check
Measure your ceiling. You need your height + arm length + 30cm clearance. Most towers are 2.1m tall. If your head hits the plasterboard, it's game over.
